I'm sorry, but your crew is right. Go with the duals, thats what we run on our 2188

duals are a big pain on 6 row N head tried that long time ago and did not like it beside that i don't know how you could even do it on narrow rows i tried it with 40 inch rows and i was running corn over if your going to stick with duals you had better find a narrow tire to use

We used to run duals on a combine we once had and really liked them. We had a 18.4x42 on the inside and a 14.9x46 on the outside and it worked great with a 6 row narrow head. Also the tires match perfectly for height and the stability was excellent, especially on our beanhead.
