Combines DUST AND lEAVES

It's dry, so it IS dusty! Since putting in a Sunnybrook rotor in my R62, I notice more dust in front of the feederhouse. I think the enclosed rotor prevents air from movin through the machine. Sometimes the contdition of the crop dictates how much dust there is. Stessed corn tends to have more smut which will put a lot of black spores on the machine and sticks to the windows. Dragging a chain on the ground seems to help some.

This is my 3rd season with this combine and every year, in soybeans, the dust seems to be a lot worse in this combine than my R60 was. Friday, we were in a corn field and it seemed that the feed chain was creating enough wind movement that the leaves and dust would just "rise" out of the throat.
