There's guy a couple miles away, has a '66 E with a 10' platform. Uses it to cut 10 acres of barley and 20 acres of oats every year for his steers and his daughter's horses, and cuts about 30 acres of cash crop soybeans, as well. He also has the 2 row corn head, but last time he used that was in '97. I also know of another E sitting in a shed near here, owned by an old guy who can't use her anymore, but can't bear to let her go. Bought his new in '65, hasn't run it since '93.

I have an E Gleaner, my second one. I now have only a few acres but in the 60's had my first E in 64. Back then I would combine 400 to 600 acres of grain, soybeans and edible beans each year.
