As long as it is certified to be able to run it you can switch back and forth from gasoline to E85 all you want. There is a great site that has a long of information about it. http:__www.e85fuel.com

if it is not certified you need to change the jetting in the carb, this will mean you need to run E85 100% of the time

unfortunately, down here in TN, there is not very much ethanol or biodiesal available in any blend. No one wants to have the expense of being able to provide it from what i hear. But there is a bill going throught the state legislature that will provide incentives for gas stations to provide ethanol along major highways and interstates. Actually, the state representive trying to push the bill through is one of our landlords. i've been in his ear pretty good telling him we need it here in Tennessee

yeah for most farmers i don't think that would be a problem thou..really I mean most have there fav gas station or only local and some don't travel too far i would hope farmers would make that change to be able to run E85 WE have the choice of 3...5..15 percent soy in our disel (not sure on what exactly the word is for it) And we are one of only 2 or 3 farmers who use the 15 That to me is discaceful!!!!! then again im all for doing anything to benifit us all.

Thats good to hear.. Up in iowa and northern ill ive seen where ethanol gasoline is a lil cheaper than the other stuff at most pumps You can't see a difference like that in southern ill and that makes me think....WHY IJIJIJIJ lol I hope soon we get E85 and we can run it There was a local gas station in a town near by and they had a sticker of a circle with a cross threw it and in the middle it said Ethanol Well we sure didn't fill up there!! Thats been a while thou.... It was removed not to long after but we still don't go there...

Rob, where in TN are youIJ I'm just outside Memphis and our supplier handles soydiesel. I can get you in contact with them if you want. jd84001@excite.com And if you've got enough money, they'll sell you 100% pure soydiesel. A few guys are running pure stuff in their diesel cars. They haven't had any problems.

I'm not positive on this, but I think its $1.89 a gallon. I remember seeing that written on the board at their store. I don't know of anybody mixing their own. Not many farmers here would do that anyway.

we have tried blending, works great. biodiesel has good lubricity especially when it us pure. the only problem we have in MN is that the pure stuff has a higher cloud temp than n2 diesel
