we have run our r5 in pinto,navy and black beans for several years. we are very pleased with our results. i am looking to upgrade to a differnt combine soon and if that happens we would permanently mount a conveyor on that machine.
Yes and they can work great in edibles. Machines with P1 need the channel helicals. Machines with P3 benifit greatly with rotor sweeps. Helicals have to be chrome (no doubt at all). Remove paddles from one of the accelerator rolls if very dry and you start splitting. Model makes difference on which tube you pull the paddles from. You can do some more specializing if needed.
