Combines electrical probs in 50 series

Just taking a wild stab at your header height and contour master problem. My uncle runs an '02 9750 and this year had a few problems. The header height control wouldn't work at all, the contour master was stuck in one position and some of the displays in the corner post weren't working properly. After several rounds with the service guys, they found that the motherboard in the side counsel was bad. Easy fix, but they had a tough time diagnosing the problem. Not sure if this will help but thought it might give you a starting point. Good luck

I also had trouble with header height control on '01 9650 that took an afternoon to get working right. Also had to replace ECU and motherboard on '03 9650.

Thanks sodbuster for your input ,we have replaced the board under buttons next to the arm rest last year,that was very$$$$ and like you said ,hard to find. The symptoms we have now is that if you turn the key on, the display for contour master and header height resume will not be displayed but if you turn key off and then on again it will be active again.Also when you activate contour master for eg Header height resume will switch itself off!! Check and clean the ground points they can be hard to find them all so get some help from a tech with a manual. I have had the arm rest board do some wierd things to a combine, some times reprograming will work but I had to go through three boards once before I got one to work. The cornerpost display may be an other source for this, it wouldn't hurt to have a tech reprogram it. If you have codes that point to a controller not sending or other controllers aren't receiving a mesage form another controller that is a good clue which controller is haveing problems. Good luck

I have had armrest control board replaced,moisture meter and greenstar.and still having electrical problems J.d.cannot solve them so good luck you will need it.
