Combines elephant ears

Tell me more about Marlin impeller blades. The elephant ears on my 2388 rice rotor are in need of replacement, and if I can gain any performance, that would be great.

Basically as mentioned, they drastically improve the feeding and virtually eliminate all the growling. It was a field service mechanic that designed and tested them, and then started installing them on the brand new combines that the dealership was selling, that's how well they worked. If you need more info, I believe I can dig out this fellows name and phone number, I think I have it somewhere.

I don't know anything about Marlin impellers, but I am very pleased with my Axceller kit! Green stemmed soys really make it shine, but it seems to have more even rotor feeding and any crop.

I've been running the Marlins for 2 1_2 seasons now and am very pleased with the results. The only time I've found they cause problems is when I've cut short, weedy wheat. The green mess seems to accumulate in the transition cone and then will slug feed through. Other than that, I love the way they feed small grains, dry beans, and corn. Very smooth and less HP and grumbling.

You may wish to think about going to an AFX rotor, I did and would do it again. Jack
