Combines End of New Holland in Grand Island

I had a plant tour recently and did not hear that. All the combines being built and in the yard when I was there were Red as far as the eye could see. Tour guide told me the ratio was more than 10 Red built to every Yellow one and if the majority of units are Red then that is what the plant is labelled. Hence the new big sign out front and Case-IH logos everywhere inside the plant. Tour guide said if Axial Flow production was not moved from Moline they would likely be out of a job in Grand Island by now.

I don't know how many annually I did not ask and the information was not offered. I believe he said they were averaging 30 units a day out the door.

So Redhat did some one tell you that there was more red made than yellow so that is why they took the name off the building or did you asume that. Either way I dont belevie it for a second, if that were the case when they merged the steigers and the tjs they were very quick to put N.H. on the building in Fargo and they surly would be taking off the N.H. name now when there it is like 10 to 1 steigers and casepayloaders to every blue tractor made. Somthing will be happening down the road I beleive! But thanks for sharing the ns that I can beleive.

Yes, those were the exact words that I heard. I was unaware the Fargo plant was labelled NH. Could be due to the Bi-directional tractors being made there for NH and resulting in a higher unit count as a resultIJ

I'll clear a few things up...I took the tour this summer. The Case combines 2588 2388 and whatever other numbers you case guys have(I only pay attention to New Holland stuff) all case combines world wide are built in Grand Island, but in Belgium there is a plant building CX New Holland and CR New Holland combines as well. So in other words they build all Case combines world wide from one building but only New Holland combines for North America and maybe only some parts of Canada. Any New Hollands sold overseas Europe, Australia, wherever are built in Belgium.. Yes this summer on the particular day they were sending out I believe 13 red units and like 1 or 2 yellow ones. They did say they have capacity for like 30 units at full capacity. I believe they were building on to build self propelled hay tools next door in Grand Island. That is what I have been told
