QSl9 and 8.3 are not the same engine. One is 505 cu. inches and the other is 543 cu inches. There's a guy on the other combine page that has a chip for the 9.0 Cummins. Give me your email and I'll send you his number.
I have no experience myself, not sure of your location but in Canada there is a diesel services group (DSG) I don't know their website but they have a few branches and they did wonders to our R-62 mechanical pumps and have heard good things on their knowlege of chipping the newer engines.
