The engine in the 9600 is comparable to all the tractors you listed as it is the same motor, 7.6l or 466 cu. in.. The difference is that this engine in the combine is computer controlled and aftercooled vs. intercooled in the tractors. The standard grain machines had a rated HP of 215 with a 228 boost. The corn -rice machines had 253 with a 265 boost. I believe your machine has the three position throttle switch and maybe higher HP ratings than these. The 9610 is when they started using the same engine that is in the 8000 tractors. Deere always has liked to use the same motor for as many applications as possible and just adjust the HP to the need.
