I've heard that in the next year that they will be introducing a 40 foot flex. Now this is just what i've heard. Wheather or not it happens i don't know.

Gleaner had came out with an experimental 42' flex about 10 years ago a college buddy of mine told me. Seems out in western Ks they were experimenting with it....Now, it must have been a flop otherwise you would see them on the market by now I'd think. It supposedly had gauge wheels on both ends like some swathers and they said that it was a true flex as you could cut across a terrace sideways with it and it would float. I'm just repeating what I had heard.....I havn't ever seen it nor have I ever heard any silver guys talk much about it so perhaps it's all wash.....I dunno......take it with a grain of salt.

I do not know for certain but perhaps this was a draper......it would almost have to be. There's to much flex and bounce in the auger in a grain head past 30'........so I've been told. I'm the farthest cry from an engineer so I just tell what I've heard and try to sort as much b.s. from truth as I can....which sometimes is hard to do. Does NH's split in the middle like macdon's with two seperate belts or does it have more than two set's that bring in the cropIJ......Not to mention, I saw a video one time that shown macdon's where you could kick the crop out the side and use it solely as a swather for the boy's in the dakota's that lay down the wheat before harvesting it......does NH's do that as wellIJ Didn't know anything about them having one.

The NH draper front is actually a Honey Bee. Go to www.honeybee.ca and you will find all the info on it.

I was with a custom cutter this year with a 9650 walker machine. After cutting for 30 minutes and being stoped for 6hrs with an electrical problem on the first day, we got going again about sunset and ran till about 11. The next morning we started it up and it was blowing black smoke terrible. Put fuel in it and it had burned 80 gal. Deere changed an injector and fixed problem. Ran four more hrs and alt. pulley fell off. We had a great start, Ha. Ha.
