Combines Engine Rebuild

Just had my N6 done at 3100 hrs. My dealer says that 3000 hrs is about right for a 6 or 8 row head and a 20 ft head. Also do you know the age of the machine, mine is one of the later ones with the newer engine and the bearings and bolts looked and measured fine. Still CHEAP INSURANCE for the underhaul!

John, the machine that I considered might be due is a 1982 model, the other is a 1984. We usually pick up a 25' swath or cut with a 30' head. I agree that its cheap insurance but still wonder when money is a little tighter. I certainly appreciate your input..
