The high idle on my R60 is set at whatever the book calls for. I havent started combining yet and I cant tell you offhand what the exact number is. 1.5% governor is a new term for me. Would you please explain itIJ I have had my diesel pump rebuilt at a diesel repair shop and there was no mention of anything like that. I did insist on a low idle setting that would allow engaging the separator at 500-700rpm. Thats a lot smoother and probably less harmful than engaging at the factory setting.

I would manually pull on linkage at engine to see if cable is allowing lever to bottom against high idle stop on pump. If engine has more RPM while helping lever you best adjust up the cable. Whatever the pump guy set your high idle to should be fine as long as cable is getting it there. Hard to say what he did to pump if it works so well with high idle only at 2400. Did he install electronic governerIJ
