I only run 2400 at no load may have to set up or check cable myself. What cylinder gap and cylinder speed do you run at. We run at 675 RPM and 2 on the gap.Thanks for the info.

I'M RUNNING 3 AND 720. I'M RUNNING THE DUETZ TWIN TURBO WITH 260 HP AT THE MAIN SHAFT. TOOK THE PUMP AND INJECTORS OUT TWO YEARS AGO, SET THE PUMP 8-10% OVER, REPlACED THE INJ. AS AFTER 1750 HRS THEY WERE JUNK.

Yes RPM on the Deutz V8 should be 2510. If it has droped to 2460 you will get max power 50 RPM late. 50 RPM gets closer to the overload beeper and closer to engine saying thats enough. Not that the engine can't do better but the pump quits feeding her the fuel. You make a very good point. Cable and linkage wear can usually be taken up with cable adjustment. Take care
