If the engine really is stuck on a gas 4400 it is probably not worth messing with. what it would cost to fix the engine is more than the machine is worth. Unless the rest of the machine is in excellent condition, I would push it in the woods. You can buy decent 4400 diesels all day long around here for 5 or $6000. Another thousand or so would probably put you in a 4420. I even heard about an auction in Suffolk, where a 6620 sold for $5500.
