Combines enough lift

We have ran 36ft macdon heads on 9600's and now on 9650 sts..and have never had to turn up the pressure ,,,never had to put new cylinders on..and have never had a minutes trouble. You will have no trouble with the 9610 at all. I know quite a few fellows around here that have 36 foot head and none of them had to get bigger cylinders or turn up the pressure,no matter the color of the machine.

Older 9600's have 21_8" cylinders. Your 9610 has 23_8" cylinders. The small cylinders will not pick up a 36' flexdraper. Maybe your running a regular draper headIJ I think they are lighter than a flexdraper. Thats what I ran into this summer. Never did check the pressure but I will now. Hope this helps.

Thanks Kip, Good to know that. I will be running a 962 with no F_A on the reel, so it is about as stripped down as can be.

We ran a 962 36 with pickup reel on our 9610 and didn't have any problems also ran one on 9600 and no problems.

Run a 30' flex draper and had to put the bugger cylinder on a early 9600. The cylinders are the ones they use on "corn" machines.

As I said before, we ran the first 9600 out of the block,,with a 36ft head on it,,,had no trouble at all,,most dealers will tell you you need the extra cylinders or bigger ones. But that is a bunch of BS. A buddy of mine has a TX66,,he was told that he needed bigger cylinders or an extra to lift the 36ft Macdon. Not the case ,,,,saved thousands on updates just by trying it. We never had a seal leak or cylinder blow out. ABSOlUTElY NO TROUBlE AT All.

Agree-- try it first but if it won't buy the "corn" cylinders ($1,100),as long as you don't have a flex draper probably not a problem, but a flex draper is almost 9,500 n
