Am I happyIJ No. BUT... I think I came to a deal today to trade on a new 9760. The difference between new and used was what I was looking for (in terms of $'s_acre). Now I am happy. I get a new machine with these added benefits... bullet rotor 9l motor heavier variable speed drive - this is a big one for me as we run a 830 harvestec chopper head that takes alot of power and the current set-up is not heavy enough.

While a little different, we traded our 2004 9660 STS for a 2006 9660 STS that has $3500 more equipment and paid $33,000 CDN difference. Trade also includes our pickup for a new pickup as well. Our trade had 305 sep hours and 390 engine hours.

heres the story, jd had two manufactures making crankshafts, the one drilled oil holes to large causing cranks to break, jd has a campaign to fix problem by serial number, if crank broke they replace engine, if it hasn't they replace crank, rods and mains, with all seals and gaskets necassary no questions asked, call your deere dealer and talk to him, scott

$144_hr, must be approaching rental rates which cover interest and possibly header.

I traded a 04' 9660 with 525 Rotor hrs. and 700 engine for a new 06' 9660 Identical machines except the new one will have big unload auger and CD player, and a 05' model 635 hydraflex with approx. 2700 acres for 57,000 USD I thought I got a pretty good deal a lot cheaper than renting or leasing.

GS the Flex head had 2700 acres on it not the combine actually the combine has harvested probally 6500 acres or more would have to go back and look at yeild monitor to get actually acres harvested.
