Steve, If you have the 178" auger, buy a 36" extension from your Maurer dealer, it is called The Extender. It will put your auger at 208", the same as most of todays 2388 pushing 30' heads. With a 30' hd you will be able to unload on the go with the same newer style rubber flap on the outer end that is being used on current models. I think there are two more options, a 24" and also a 30" with the plastic elbow. All three are well made and do work. JA.

I have an extender I would sell It was purchased and never put on It is th same as what Forever red is talking about. I bought it to put on my 2166 with a short auger but i ended up buing a long auger to go on it. Where might you be locatedIJ
