F2 is too small for a 6 row head. an M2 or l2 would work best unless you go to an R series.

l2 or l3 would be my recommendation, had a M2 with a 4-38, in good corn was plenty for the machine to handle, And if six row would never had made up and down across the field without unloading.. l model holds about 50 more bushel in the bin and has 20% more capacity and wont use any more fuel per acre..

i will know more in a week or so i am going to try it here this fall i found me an old orange fg630 head that i have had on my f2 never ran it tough yet turned it all with a pipe wrench so good luck i hope it will work i am flat though and will find out it is good corn this year possibly some over 200 i would recomend a m or l series though i only am doing this for a year or so till i can afford a bigger machine i am running one f2 this year instead of 2 and i also lost some custom work due to his son being out of college and closer to home and they bought my one combine that he would run for me from time to time it all will work out we are thinking bout buying one together next dont know how that will work yet though _ dairyfarmer
