Combines F2 15 head questions about variable speed reel

Are you talking water pipeIJ I dont recall seeing anything like that on my reel speed, but I will look at my bean head later today. Tom in MN

I had a chance to look at 2 bean heads, a 300 series head and a 500 series but didnt see any 1_4 galvanized pipes. Perhaps you are talking about steel tubing with JIC or compression fittings, as it would be highly unlikely to find a factory installation with galvanized pipes. I did see a larger steel tube, 1_2 or 5_8 that is considerably longer than 4 that you are having trouble with. Your head must be different than the ones I have. Have you thought of replacing the galvanized pipe with hydraulic hose that would be as strong or stronger than what you have nowIJ Tom in MN
