Bish makes an adapter to put JD heads on an F2, but I don't know the specifics of what needs to be done to make the Gleaner run the green head (the adapter only lets you mount it).

We ran series 3 flex head on our F3. It was bought second hand. Once we got it loosened up and adjusted where the previous owner didn't use it in flex position, it worked fine.
