Combines F2 clean grain slip Clutch

There is a roll pin that goes thru the shaft into the slip clutch. Take the nut of the end of the shaft and the slip clutch will come off. You will see the sheared off pin in the shaft and look for the matching area in the clutch hub. Check the condition of the jaws, they may need to be replaced. In wet corn you may need to put a washer or two between the nut and the spring to keep it from slipping. Take the grease zerk out and put in a pipe plug, in other words don't grease it. Make sure everything is free before putting in more washers or you may bend the shaft.

Thanks SD-455, that will make my day a whole lot easier. Figured it would end up being some special part that my parts guy would take three week to get.

One more little item to consider. You might want to replace the driven sprocket with one that has one (1) less tooth. I can overload and plug the clean grain elevator on my K2 if I am not careful. The removal of grease fitting, a couple washers, and changing driven sprocket really helps.

Gleaner used to make a clean grain elevator speed up sprocket for straight F series combines. It was a larger spocket on the drive side. You might want to check with a salvage yard. I have one on my straight F that is now out to pasture. If you are interested, I could check with a neighbor that has an F2 to see if it would fit. Jess
