Combines F2 clean grain

check the flighting in the loading auger in the bin. If it is worn the grain backs up and is not put in the bin but instead goes down the elevator backside. Also check the sprocket that runs the elevator that has the slipclutch and make sure it is not worn on the side next to the spring.

Have you checked the flighting on the clean grain auger where it dumps in the elevator that goes up to the bin, and have you checked the flighting where the grain comes out of the elevator into the binIJ lots of wear in these two spots will cause your problem. Check these out and get back.

We had the same trouble with our F3 years ago - even when it was new - so I doubt the auger flighting is the problem but it wouldn't hurt to check. We just had trouble when doing high moisture cob mix saving about 90% of the cob - had a lOT of material going through that clean grain elevator. Ours would run fine until the corn piled up to that cross-auger that levels the grain in the hopper - then she'd slip. We put up with it but that was a big factor in our deciding to trade up to an M3 - needed more hopper capacity. I always wondered if speeding up the clean grain elevator would solve the problemIJIJ Perhaps extending the auger and tube where the grain drops into hopper to help prevent backfeedIJIJ Good luck!

We also had the same problem. It was really bad because we had the gear shift in ours and you couldn't run in 2nd low! Ours had a bucket elevator that we had to put a speed up kit on and those buckets really whipped around there! What we did was put a clean grain chain from a 9600 John Deere in there and place a (I believe) 2X8 against the back side for support. Works awesome, just have to be careful of going too fast! It pours in nice and smooth and runs with the slow sprocket on there. The other F we had, we put poly paddles in and that solved that problem. let me know how things go. There's a reason for that slip clutch and don't overtighten it becuase the shaft WIll BREAK! Don't grease it often either. Take care and let me know how things go.

I had the same problem with my F2. What I did was move the flightening that moves the grain across the bin closer to the inlet and this solved the problem. It moves the grain away from the auger better and you don't have the build up where the grain comes into the bin. I would try this it is very simple to move those cross flightening

Just had this happen last night shelling corn with my F check the roll pin and set screw in the top sprocket in clean grain elevator when bin is almost full it plugs the elevator, took a little while to figure that out but simple hope this will help.
