IF he did not time the engine before he removed the pump, tell him the cost is triple in paybacks. AlWAYS time the engine (433I's time at 18 degrees BTDC) BEFORE pulling the pump. line up the marks on the pump AND the 18 deg mark on the crank pulley. IF he did not time the eng, pull the tappet cover and watch the intake valve as you turn the engine over when it closes continue til it reaches 18 degrees then install the pump with the lines lined up in the timing window. IF it will only start on ether and runs popping and smoking you got her 180 degrees out of time.
