The stack is like this spring, cup seal, (cup to inside) cupped spacer that covers the snap ring, two bearings and washer all stacked on the stem. IF the stem is bent it will leak. Change the stem and stack to the variable speed drive if your machine is non hydro, and see if IT leaks. The inside hollow sleeve where the seal rides can be polished, no scores allowed as well as the place on the stem where the seal rides. If their is a slight groove on the spindle a flat shim washer can be inserted between the seal and the cupped spacer (71155322 is the spacer n) to move the seal inwards a few thous to get on larger non worn area. 90% of the failures are due to warped stem.
