You know, I reckon, that you will have to replace the ring that the balls are in. The wear in it is the reason that your auger is about to fall off. You can take the ring off and turn it 180 degrees. This will put the worn half on the botton where it doesn't carry a load. You will have to move one of the threaded studs and drill another hole to put the balls in. Of course, you will plug the old hole. You can get an extra plug from your dealer. We found an old ring to use as a guide to line up the position of the stud that we had to move. This was done on a neighbor"s F3, 2 or 3 seasons ago. It is still working fine. I forgot how much that ring was costing 3 years ago when I bought my last one, but I am sure that the price has not fallen along with the prices of our grains. I think it was around $325. It was at least that high!!
