Combines F2 Hyd

first make SURE the valve is not moving due to linkage froze together. Common. Second would be a weak spring behind the poppet, third would be trash in the lockout plunger or I think one can turn these backwardsIJ (can't remember for sure) . Fourth would be a haint in the system, and finally the centering spool spring could be weak or broke or stuck or rusty causing the spool to be just ready to allow flow to valve. All I can think of for now, when you get it fixed let me know what it was.

is this a F2 prior to electric over hydIJ Such as an F2 proir to '82IJ If so there is a valve - a one way check valve - in the kit that has the check valve turned wrong in many kits.. IF you will give a little more detail we will try to help. As you said , especially over the net it can be a long process.

T Bran the hyd are all working perfect it is the electrical part this is throwing me off, and yes it is a F2 prior to 82, the kits that come for those combines had a module with a printed circiut board but like I posted this combine didn't have one so I orderer it's replacement and that where my troubles started I can't get the sol. to work per instruction, what is odd is a old module which this combine is running now works perfect, stick a new (replacement) in and it will not do a thing but raise not lower or no auto header either I'm just about had it trying to figure this thing out,I hope this helps explain more if not e-mail me or let me give you a call Thanks

there is an extra relay on the F2's. Do you have that harness and 30amp relayIJ This is the one that powers the system

there is 1 or 2 red_gray wires in the harness where the header plugs in. If so they have to be hooked together. they are the lower signal wires, and unless they both sense lower, the header won't go down in auto, but would work in manual. In some the splice was made in the mod., and some were connected in the harness by the mod, if you didn't have the dual sensers on the head. Not sure I totally understand your problem, but try a jumper in these 2 terminals.

T Bran every thing as far is wiring is installed right because you can take a old style module it it works fine. The way the system works is as soon as the key is turn to on in the off position it should power the down sol. but it will not with the new module stick the old style out of another combine with the wiring all the on both it will not work, hope this helps understand my problem alittle more, I know this is confusing but be lucky your not on my end Thanks

ok, You are saying if you take an old style module - one that was supposed to thrown away , the one with open wireing you can see in the back vs the new style which is enclosed in plastic - it works. The ONlY difference is the old style received power form the system whereas the NEW style module has a orange wire extra that MUST receive power via the header clutch voltage at the switch (or sep clutch switch voltage) in order for it to power anything, this was a safety feature on the later series so as the AHHC would only work when the header was turned on. Do you have that orange wire on the new module and is it receiveing 12 vIJ

Everything is get 12v where it is supposed to the only thing I cannot figure out is why the old style module will put power to the down sol in the off postion with key on and the new module will not,the old style has a switched comm (grd)that the new module does not have, the modules both are grounded real good but it seems to have something to do with the way it switches to a grd, the new module kit does not refer to that relay at all in the instructions with the new module, Just quessing running out of patience bythe T Bran do you know a guy named Dave Davenport he said he knew you got to work with him at grain quality workshop that our dealership help put on he a real nice gentleman seem s to be getting to know his way around gleaners for no longer than he's been doing this' well back to this other problem I'm sure it is simple but just over looking something obvius maybe two minds or some other ideas I might find Thanks
