Tom, You should be able to find one of these in a salvage yard from a N-Series that can be retrofitted to work on your F2. Make sure you get the wiring harness,switch and actuator. I would think that you could find one for $50-$100 complete. Hyper Harvest II

I also think that the M3's had it as well . While at the salvage yard check them as well.

If you don't use your reel lift valve you can weld a bracket on the top of the ladder near the hinge point and another towards the cab on the hopper side. Use a 1 1_2" bore by 8" stroke hydraulic cylinder. I fixed my 1979 F2 this way and it works great. If you are near Coldwater you are about 40 miles north of me. If I could get a good picture of my setup I would email you one or if you wish you could look at it in person. By the way my F2 is for sale. You could buy it and you would have the brackets and cylinder.

I mounted a 12v winch on the bin of my m2. Works good and simple to install. About $200 Can.

I had one on my k2 and wish I would have kept it. Have looked hard in Ohio area and cannot find one for my f3. I was told that the one on my k2 was a factory option.
