Definitely get the diesel long tail as it should be newer and the 292 will eat you out of house and home on gas. If I remember correctly the short tail was as 77 to early 78 models only and the longs went on from there on. You will love the F2 and think you have gone to heaven over the K. Good luck!

I have had both and the long body with the diesel is the route to go.
