Combines F2 seperator clutch

Rare, might have seen this once, suspect clutch body the dowells go in is not running true, thus every time the shaft spins the driven disc wobbles and slips in the pins and this is wearing the holes out. Get a used body or clutch assy. Usually bullet proof if kept adjusted ever so often.

Get all the belts loose on the driven pulley(behind clutch) and see if it has the brg bores wollowed like mine was.This causes flexing of the clutch disc on drive pins.Machine shop bored and sleeved mine.Inner bore was worn the worst.Should not be able to cock pulley on shaft but you can't tell till you remove belt tension.What started out as a simple fan belt replacement,turned in to a major fix but at least I found that rough mainshaft brg before it "got" me

Thanks for the replies. Took tension off belts, and there was a wobble in the pulley. As sidekick suggested, the bearings inside the four-groove sheave were spinning inside the sheave, rather than the bearing itself turning. What would cause that to happenIJ At any rate, new sheave not available from AGCO; we'll probably get a used one from either Abilene Machine or Worthington Ag Parts (waiting to hear back on prices).
