I run @ 1_2" in corn, usually under 500 rpms, no filler bars. I have my chaffer cut so that the front 10" opens seperate from back, (standard screen opens with large front section and small rear section) that does wonders for cleaning and capacity. For me fan setting is all it will open, I do not have bin screening equipment and choose to "field screen". I have tried running a little wider and faster and just did not like the job I got. I have gone from corn to beans and not changed anything except the head.
