I had the same problem. Mice love to live up there and tend to deposit byproducts in the monitors. I send my monitors to www.Agri-tronics.com to get fixed. At the end of the season I remove the four screws and let the monitors hang by the wires. The mice don't like the view from the holes the monitors were in.
