We took the hydraulic chaff spreader off the 1680 and put the oversized spinners on. They have longer shafts so they hang a little lower like the factory super spreader. With the deflector the chaff is easily blown far enough back to hit the spinners. Without the deflector, the air dies out at the back of the chaffer and some of the chaff falls nearly straight down, missing the spinners. With the deflector the chaff is airborne and travels well past the end of the chaffer and lands on top of the spinners.
