Combines Fan wear R60 Deutz V 8

The only thing i know about them and this is from experience with a tractor. Our tractor would just slowly start running warm in the middle of the day that is really the only way to tell when it is time to replace it. bugs and chaff really will wear the fins down.

There is a spec printed for this but have found better way to measure fan performance. Pick up a water manometer and stick hose into fuel pump area of engine. Warm engine until operating temp and rev her up to rated load (2300RPM). look for no less than 6" of water pressure. New blade will give you a couple more inches and very wore (sure to over heat on hot day) will be one or more less. We replace just the blade. Good luck
