my does that once in awhileIJ I finally switched the sensor with the one from the tailings and have'nt had a problem sinceIJ not sure whyIJ maybe the chaff and dirt gave it a hic-up don't know,but its working for me now. The snow has fouled me up though. mit9750

thanks ill try that, you said the snow sets it off ive also had problems in the rain or in heavy crop

Is the JD Operator's Manual incorrect in the picture of the pulley setup for the feed accelerator in the 2001 9650 STSIJ looks like it is backwards to me.

im not sure if it is backwards, whouldnt that cause it to spin backwards.

We had the same problem. After changing 2 sensors dealer found a bulletin that said to check part number on circuit board behind warning light panel. Changed the board and everything has been fine. Some boards prior to a certain number are causing problems. Hope this helps.
