Have you tried extending the flighting on your grain head auger. That should help carry the straw more to the center before the feeder beater gets a chance to wrap it. You could weld a little half circle to the side of the feeder house. but then you run the risk of it rubbing the feeder beater. I wouldn't change the feeder beater in any way, except see if it is centered side to side in the feeder house. Curt
