I don't believe there was ever a kit to speed up the chains but all it would take is the front right pulley on feeder housing to speed up both chains. Get the pulley and belt from a newer machine if you want them spead up. I sometimes think that the faster speed hurts for it grinds up straw to much in feeder so don't throw away your old pulley and belt. Have you got out with your 4" flighting to the center yet. I have a guy harvesting 80 to over 100 bu. wheat and the 4" wasn't enough to get the material into the feeder on that 400 head. When it wouldn't go in it left a uncut or shaggy cut in the middle. All we did to get it to handle that much straw was to weld keystock to the four inch flighting in the area just in front of feeder chain. We welded on about 10 pieces from the tube to the top of flighting on the flow side. That knocks the straw down so it can be sucked under the auger. Now he can start to use up the power on his R62.
