Combines feeder drive

Hello. Yes, it'll take some time to disengage feeder house from combine and disassemble stuff, but, be careful and safe and block up the disengaged feeder house solidly to prevent it's falling. Should be OK to turn around the sprocket, just don't make my mistake: installed three new split sprockets for three-chain feeder chain and quickly broke the hex shaft due to unsupported middle when feeder chain was stressed due to "wad" of wheat.

Did you install a 3 chain on a 60 series or an 80 seriesIJ I have a 3 chain ordered for my 2366 and was going to go the easy route and put on the 3 split sprockets, but my service manager warned me about the shaft being weak(on the 80 series) in the middle, so I ordered the retro-fit kit from loewen that includes the tube and sprockets to support the middle. Dealer has never seen a 3 chain on a 60 series so I am going off into un-charted waters. I pick up alot of rocks that bend the slats, so the 3 chain looks promising.Thanks.
