Not sure what problem is, but we run our TR-98 tilt all the way back on 25 foot head and can cut close to ground. Is the terrain tracer and header height control linkage set rightIJ Do you have different size back tiresIJ Good day.

The linkage seems to be right. Back tires are 14.9x24.

We have 18.4R-42 duels and 16.9-26 back tires on our TR-98 (it is also has powered rear axle). Your head should cut close with head tilted back some. If we move ours foward any it will dig in the ground. I keep the head height in the middle of the green on the side of head. Wish I could help more but I have been cutting corn and have not done any beans so for this year (plan to start this coming week).

Today as I was looking over my bean head I come up with a few more things to look at. Make sure to clean the top side of the skid plates of dirt and trash buildup as this will mess up the head control and make you cut higher. The head op book says to change cutting height move pointer on side of head (top of green for lower cut, bottom of green for higher cut(1 1_2" to 3"). Your 30' head is a little different than my 25' so look in the head op book. The face plate should only change the angle of the guards. I hope some of this helps you as your combine and head will do a very good job for you if it set right. Good luck!
