Well I took the sprocket off the shaft at the electric motor, Chucked it up in the lathe and turned it back to the sprocket. Now I can shim it like the rock trap and compensate for another production varation.The FACTORY should have made this more adjustable! Also had to correct the sieves too, which made a BIG improvement in shaker reliability,and bushing life.

Side rails of chaffer cracked, Pan under sieves cracked, The Combine chassis have varations that cause these parts to twist. Straightened up the sides (where the bushings bolt to) that made the bushings true and square so the chaffer and sieves don't have to flex (and break) My next pet project is to DE-STROKE the shaker cams. The chaffer goes 2 1_2 inches back and forth. I'll make the cams so only 2 inch of travel. Just like an engine, the piston speed is faster the longer stroke you have.

Interesting. Just curious, if the seives are de-stroked,will they still have enough "throw" to clean and convey material out the backIJ I've read of guys on this forum discussing slow-down kits for seives which maintain the same stroke. (To each his own.)
