Combines feederhouse DUST

I would almost lay odds that the R62 does not have the extended bars into the discharge chute, possibly a bunch of reverse bars as well and no mods to the rotor or cage to get the material flowing smoothly through. Crop material will be backing up in the rotor, gets ground up and as the the rotor is packed at the discharge end, dust just pours out of the front elevator. Been there and done all of that until Rolf found this site! As NDDan and tbran have said on this site, many moons ago, check the left hand end of the cage. If it is hot then the material is stalled there and is being ground up. To fix it is all on this site and on NDDan's "Hurtt Equipment" site.

Try bolting a piece of rubber belting from the top of the feederhouse to just above the top of the feeder chain. Covering that opening should reduce the dust volume.

Oh and can these machines be made straw hungry and fuel stingy. Can't wait to post results pouring in most every day. Not bad not bad at all!!!
