Never had it happen but a feeder chain failure can be catastrophic. If you are lucky, it would not be drawn into the rotor. I would say if the adjustment is at or near the end, and the links are flat on the sprocket side and there is no 1_2 link to take out, then I would call that feeder chain DONE. Drive sprockets at top should be replaced as well. Kind of a job tho. Doing it alone is not fun. Moral: Replace it or wish you hadda!
