Combines Feeding tough wheat

We are using a flex head with a full finger auger which seems to work pretty well, though swathing is perhaps the best if you keep the rain away.

I bought a 200 series platform years ago. When delivered the cutterbar was adjusted foreward, which worked fine in good conditions. When I got into tough straw conditions I adjusted the cutterbar to the full aft position which put it several inches closer to the auger. Tough straw and green material feed fine after adjusting.

Hey is that all yall know about tough green strawIJ Here in Europe is that standart. If you want more troughput run the Combine with European SET up. We use a 26 tooth Sprocket on the Feederhouse, 1000rpm on the Feed-accelarator and the Rice Feeddrum(with the same Grainquality). In really heavy Conditions we also run 38 tooth on the Feederhouse. I did that with a 9650 STS MY01 in Canada with a increase of 25% in small grain on the same field and the same Day. You might also check up your Header Configuration. We run the auger without flight-extensions all fingers in for a small Body Feederhouse. Floorstripper set for Wide Body and Backstripper set for Small Body ( 600 Series Header)
