Combines FEEDING TROUBlE IN CORN

I know it has been a problem for deere head owners. We traded our deere 90 series last year for the 2200 series and I can say I am quite pleased, no more piles building up in front of feeder house. I commented to the deere salesman and he told me deere changed their angle 5 degrees this year on all new heads, and that they make some kit to flatten header 5 degrees, so I would try to tip your face plate back on the feeder house. Another thing we did was put the gathering chains lugs in time with each other. I have heard of some turning chains around with the lugs the opposite direction, but I really wouldn't try it until last resort. Final resort corn reel or 2212 Case head.

I helped mine by rasing the auger all the way and setting the auger ahead all the way and by tilting the face plate back quite a bit to make the intake angle as flat as possible.
