yup, its just like computers and tv's and everything else, you pay a little extra for the first little while. As to if the price goes down, it depends on competition; whether or not they build a trans as good as the fendt and how they price it. Keep in mind it is NOT the cost of the raw products it is the engineering and developement costs that have to be recouped. I doubt CNH or Deere will cut AGCO's price and no small company can afford to build one.

I agree that the RandD is the major cost for something like this, but if they can move it into commercial vehicles( trucks) and things like buses_RV's the market is HUGE. In the AG industry whats the potential market, 10,000 units per year topsIJIJ , get it into commercial trucks and that number becomes an order of magnitude larger.

The CVT will also be available on the new Challenger "B" series wheel tractors in the 4th Q of this year as well. Most of the Challenger wheel tractors will also be CAT powered.

I know they have a B series in the 500's so are you saying they will have a B series in the 600's soonIJ Hope so.
