I cann't answer our seive question but I wouldn't use a combine without field tracker. We have used field tracker the last 4 years on 30 foot 1020 bean head and wouldn't be without it. It is worth the extra cost.

I've been running a 30 ft. 1020 for many years now. The first few years I didn't have a field tracker but the last 5 years I have. I would rather be beat than to have my field tracker taken from me. It's great.

There is an excellent after market sieve manufactured by loewen. It has replaceable louvers, and each wire hole has a plastic insert so that neither the hole or wire will wear out prematurely, and if it does happen, you can easily replace the wire or the louvers. Another great feature on them is that they have indexible, spring loaded adjuster handles, which keeps the sieve opening exactly where you put it at all times, plus they move smoothly and easily, something you can't say for IHC sieves, which at times you have to get a long pipe out to get the thing to move. They also manufacture an exterior chaffer and sieve adjuster, which mounts on the outside of your combine, which allows you to adjust your chaffer or sieve from the outside, and if you have chaff throwers which make it difficult to get your adjusters, this is a great feature.

You bet! A combine without a field tracker is only 1_2 a machine. We also run a 30' 1020 in terraces with this system. The 30 has done a better job on the field tracker than our previous 20 did without it.

The Field Tracker System is a feature you can get on the Case IH Machines. It has sensors on the bottom of the header I believe at each end. And is able to pivot at the picture frame on the feeder house. The sensors can be set to follow a certain header height of the terrian of the field. I haven't had a chance to use the tracker system but from what I hear on this site it is a nice thing have. Some other guys may know more about it but I think those are at least the basics. Hope this helps. I think there is a little more information at caseih.com. jon
