Combines field tracker cost

I would recommend to add it to your flex head. We have 2 J.D. combines that we run 30's with no countour master on them and a 2166 that has field tracker, the first year we ran a 25' and now we have a 30 on the 2166 and it does a remarkable job with the field tracker and cuts alot better on uneven ground, the next new J.D. I get will have the countour master on it, so I think it is worth trading your head on especially if you have any dips or uneven ground. I do not think it is worth it on a corn head unless you have rolling ground or someone that is inexperienced running the combine in corn.

Adding field tracker to the heads is not that expensive. Around $450_head if I remember right. Adding it to the combine is the expensive part and you've already got it.

Shawn: I just sold a rock trap off my 1688. There's the rock trap, cylinder extensions, triple v belt, 3 shields, sprocket on reverser shaft, shield brackets and I probably forgot a few things. Anyway, I would recommend trading with someone with the same combine or a salvage yard. It's my understanding that CNH parts doesn't offer a complete kit and it would cost a fortune to order each part individually. My guess on value is between $1000 and $1600. The two things that I would check are all the bushings on the cleaning shoe and replace the water pump bearing. Both of these can cause expensive problems that can be avoided.
