Combines field tracker on a 1688

It is possible, although a new kit is kind of pricey and takes a full day to install if you have done it before. I am in the central part of Kansas and put one on a 1680 combineing what and milo and 30'1010. would not do it any other way. That head with tracker laid into terraces better than any fixed head would and helped keep the machine level. liked it so well added the kit to the 2188 when I traded (different kit_different hydraulic system)

I have a 1680 (prototype 1688) that came from the factory with a Field Tracker. I run a 25' 1020 and can shave the ground better then the 13' header we used to run on our 1460. I would sure look into seeing if you could find a FT in a salvage yard or buy a kit if you are planning on keeping the combine for a while.
