Iam starting my sixth year with it. It has all the updates from AGCO. Experiance and patience is a must! Today we split a 47 acre sy. field 50_50 wwe weighed 3 loads kept updateing cal n. Watch your elevator bu. _hr,try to keep it within 100 bu. _hr. This fields yield was from 0 to 51 bu ave. 37.6 bu. per acre. My brother asked me three fields later if I had an idea how close I came, Isaid real close, he said his scale wt. was wthin 1 bu. on shares.A TRICK Iuse 0n r-62 is when grain in bin just just starts to cover glass that is 130 bu.,if dump it and adjust cal n.

How often do you change your zero point nIJ Cal nIJ Really don't have the time to do it each load. I have found it is accurate for 2 loads or so then will be + or - 10 to 15 bushels after. Once that cal n is set, should it stay accurate all dayIJ Thanks for your response!

We see the same thing. We had an Agleader and didn't have to do all the constant calibrating or zero point BS. Have had numerous tech folks out and the best answer I get is "it is only guaranteed to be within 10%". They have replaced nearly every component of the system except the wiring harness. They probably meet the 10% guarantee, but my Agleader would be closer than the Fieldstar at nearly any time. We did have different calibration factors for our Agleader for dry corn, 18-23% and for 24-28%. The problem I see is that the zero point on Fieldstar wanders too much. You can calibrate, calibrate, calibrate, but if you reset the zero point you get to calibrate some more. The best move I made was to not go for the mapping software as well. Next year I will have an Agleader again. I do like the Fieldstar console and it is pretty user friendly. AGCO makes some pretty nice products, but dealer service and tech support are not comparable to the JD service in our area(Southern Il).

Make sure senser was updated per service bulliton. large seed crops were getting up into senser box and preventing proper deflection of lever assembly at times. Modification prevented material from hanging in there. Otherwise maybe you need to stabilize senser better. Our systems have been working fine weather they have mapping or not so I bet yours will to when you find the bug. Check with your dealer to be sure any bullitins that pertain to your machine have been done. Be sure to call Gleaner if your not getting fixed. They've been great help anytime one of ours gave trouble.

ARe you nuts. Keeping your harvest bushels per hour within 100 means all Fieldstar has to do is accurately measure groundspeed to calculate yield per acre. We usually run 1600-1800 bushels per hour in corn, average, however the range runs from 1000 to 2300. Per your theory I should adjust my field speed from 4-10 mph. Thats crazy.

Not that I know of PoorFarmer. New operator commented yesterday that Fieldstar said 47bu. as calibrated and seed co. weight wagon said 48bu. Don't now if he had it down to .1ths of a bushel but at 47and 48 that would be within 2%. I'm sure they won't be that accurate all the time but when mapping it would help you detemine what is right and wrong with various areas of the field. This Fieldstar with mapping has worked wonders in figureing out some soil problems. I would stick with it until you get your problem ironed out.
