Oh ya. Wet. Got stuck twice with in 100ft. That field is left for winter. I've come quit good at combining sideways. Sad thing is we had to drag out the plow to handle all the ruts. One farm that has no-tilled the home farm for 30years had to plow it. Sucks. Got done corn Monday. 25ac left to plow and i'll be done. Still have lots of corn sitting on the cement we still have to dry and put somewhere but every bin is full. Take care, Nathan

I don't know for sure but i have a theory that that 30 year notill farm might benifit from the plowing. i think that after all those years of organic matter laying on top and then turning it under and going right back to notill just as they had before could improve the soil by putting all that stubble under and let the roots eat at it. i don't know just a theory levi

I've never seen any data on your theory but does make sense if you think about it. I'll have to ask a few guys this winter at a conference in february. Take care, Nathan

Don't know about the plowing, but have seen a few studies that show fertility starts to form in layers towards top of soil profile, and that keeps roots from going deep, and some sort of tillage will help to mix up soil layers. Then again the 'experts' will change their minds sooner or later anyways. Did u think about chiesel plowing instead of moldboardIJ Have two plows sitting on farm and can't hardly give them away, will cut up for scrap next time prices are up.

Chisel plowing won't take out what ruts I made in these fields. Plus edibles will be going in there so better to plow for them. Take care, Nathan
